Target Audience Research HGTV Magazine
HGTV and Hearst Magazines came together as one company. They simply called themselves HGTV Magazine. They came together at a time where the economy was drowning. It was at a very poor time yet they released their magazines. HGTV also has its own television show. As people watch this show and then see the magazine in stores they will be interested in what is in the magazine and if there is anything fascinating. The magazine has many budget-friendly home decor tips and tricks that are easy for the whole family.
Research Better Homes and Gardens Autumn Glow magazine
I chose the magazine Better Homes and Gardens Autumn Glow. The cover of this magazine has brown, gold, and orange colors to represent the season of Fall. The font and size is very large and bold to catch the eye. They show a bowl filled with decorations for the season. It also shows different decorations to lay out around your house or anywhere you feel like it. They also have little captions such as "Spooky fun crafts" to try and get the reader to open the magazine. The table of contents is located on page 3 and includes many pages from the magazine. it has four pictures in the middle of the page with the page numbers listed in the corner to describe what can be found on those pages. The table of contents also separates the pages into categories based on what is found on those pages. They also advertise their online magazines and website.
